2GO offers free transport of relief goods to Odette-stricken areas

MANILA, 24 December 2021 – 2GO Group, Inc.’s business arm 2GO Sea Solutions, the leader in domestic freight transportation in the Philippines, has been transporting donations and relief goods port-to-port, free of charge from Manila to Tropical Storm Odette-stricken areas in Cebu, Bacolod, Butuan (for Siargao and Surigao City), Cagayan De Oro, Dumaguete (for Bais City), Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga.

Since December 20, 2021, 2GO has been moving basic necessities to Visayas and Mindanao, such as food, water, clothing, toiletries, medicines, including basket trucks for power restoration. One Meralco Foundation The company has also released emergency funds and have provided accommodation for its employees whose families were affected by the super typhoon. In addition, 2GO is working with SM Foundation to support donations under the campaign, #READY2GOHelpVictimsOfTyphoonOdette.

As we navigate through these challenging times, we remain true to our mission to transport our passengers reliably, comfortably, and safely, and to deliver goods consistently and in their best condition,” 2GO assistant vice president for Marketing Blessie Cruz said in a statement.

All vessels of 2GO Travel, the country’s largest premiere sea travel provider, are operational to guarantee same-day sailing schedules to ferry passengers back home this holiday season.

The latest schedule of voyages from Manila bound to Bacolod, Butuan, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Ozamis, Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga, including Batangas to Caticlan and Roxas has been posted on 2GO Travel’s Facebook page.
