Summary

This position will be under CCSE (following up with customers for documents for onboarding China Desk accounts, providing quotes/proposals, coordinating work with different support groups like Ops, Finance matters for China Desk customers) He or She will serve as a conduit between external customers and internal Business Units to consolidate, review, analyze proposals, project quotes; in addition the Sales Support Specialist will provide troubleshooting assistance to customer, coordinate and follow-up internal support needed, update account status and coordinate service problem resolution.

The Sales Support Specialist is tasked to gather market intelligence; be the superuser for sales system & applications. He or She will prepare, review required reports for performance tracking, handle sales administrative duties for the China Desk Team including scheduling and organizing customer meetings, workshop or conferences among others.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a range of sales admin and research related tasks to support the China / Int’l Clients Desk and Sales Excellence Team:
  • Track sales leads, monitor sales pipeline developments, coordinate/review solution quotes and submission of Request for Proposal including project proposals and ad hoc quotes
  • Research and gather marketing intelligence for the team
  • Assist leaders to handle after-sales service requirements of accounts in coordination with the different BUs. Answer and coordinate customer calls, follow-up with customers about their order status, arrange sales appointments, organize meetings and events as needed.
  • Be the superuser for the relevant systems/applications used to track sales leads, monitor sales pipelines developments
  • Prepare, analyze, provide timely regular reports on sales performance/metrics
  • Prepare, maintain and update customers records and presentations
  •  Coordinate closely with counterparts in different Business Units to fast track customer requirements.
  • Other related sales support activities that may be assigned from time to time.

  • Meets deadlines for sales packs/request for proposals submissions
  • Availability of timely performance reports/metrics
  • Availability of up-to-date compiled marketing intelligence
  • Maintains high external and internal customer satisfaction ratings

 

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports directly to the Vice President, China/Int’l Clients Desk & Sales Excellence
  • Closely coordinate with different BUs to get required info and action for client management
  • Works closely with the different BU’s Operations Managers/Staff, Customer Service Managers/Staff, to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

 

Skills and Competencies Requirements

  • A four-year college degree (Marketing or other Business Course is advantageous)
  • Experience in administration and high-volume office work may be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Team player, with good customer service skills.  Able to multitask.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Sales Support work, experience in handling Breakbulk/Project sales, Customer Service, or Inside Sales will be an advantage.
