Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for building long term strategic partnership with key customers to support and ensure a healthy and progressive working relationship. He/She will develop programs to help deliver competitive growth for our principals and customers and win in the marketplace.

The end in mind is to make SOI a business partner of choice for key retailers in the supermarket channel by: (1) creating a customer business plan, (2) driving excellence in execution, (3) leading the trading terms agreement and customer engagement strategy to strengthen relationship and support long term plans.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

– Drives the customer planning & trading term agreements

– Responsible from crafting the Customer Development Business Plan and deliver agreed sales targets

– Accountable for the achievement of customer KPIs (Sales Achievement, Growth, CTS, Look of Success Execution, Distribution, CFR, OTD, On Shelf Availability, Visibility and In Store activation etc.)

– Drives selling, negotiation, and execution of the customer plans (commercial and operational level)

– Build strategic customer partnerships and lead strategic business meetings with customers, involving the SOI management team

– Demonstrate negotiation and marketing skills to influence customer’s decisions by using conceptual selling techniques and data-based presentations

– Management of trade investments to customers together with trade Marketing and Finance

– Ensure timely collection of accounts receivables and manages AR reconciliation

– Collaborate very closely with teams from other departments to assist in delivering excellent end-to-end customer service delivery & response to market trends and needs

– Utilize shopper, customer, consumer insights to develop new opportunities for the business

– Pursue customer service initiatives that delight the customers and add business value

– Resolve any issues and problems of customers and act as a link between your customer and SOI

– Use of analytical insights, logistical understanding and being responsible for the customer from a-Z

– Liaises with third party agency field personnel to Ensure execution on trade

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Any Business or related course
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in FMCG or Pharmaceutical industry managing key accounts, dealing at headquarters level.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

  • Experience in handling NKA supermarkets is a plus.
  • Trade marketing experience is an advantage
