Position Details

Summary

  • To be responsible in gathering, recording, updating and maintaining asset database
  • To ensure accuracy and completeness of information
  • To coordinates with Finance – General Accounting/Record to Report Team and assigned business unit operation teams to ensure record reconciliation.
  • To handle business unit specific projects and continuous improvement tasks in relation to asset management

 

Job Responsibilities:

1.Asset Tracking and Management

  • Tag an asset
  • Update the system and reconciles variances from operations and company books
  • Log used asset tag to reflect current inventory per company
  • Facilitates acceptance of excess or surplus and inventory assets and carry out distribution of approved requested assets
  • Facilitates employee asset clearance
  • Execute nationwide asset count and acts as count team leader

2.Asset Health Monitoring and Management

  • Collects the following in relation to assets:

– Monthly Utilization

– Repairs and Maintenance

– Warranties and Insurance

– Contracts (lease contract for assets)

  • Ocular visits to determine asset condition, usage and/or to verify utilization / productivity
  • Gather information and conduct test interviews with operations
  • Do first level analysis, initial recommendations and action plans
  • Monitoring completion of actions plans
  • Executes continuous improvement projects and business cases related to asset re-fleeting and acquisition of revenue generating assets.

3.Asset Management Reporting

  • Generates report from the Virtus and Fusion system
  • Prepares and presents monthly report such as (BU Asset Registry, Tagging Reports, Revenue generating asset report on Utilization and Optimization eg. Cargo Handling Equipment, Container Vans and Chassis, Trucks, Vessel Based Assets, etc.)

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering preferably Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management graduate
  • Fresh graduate or with minimum of 6 months work related experience
  • Engineering Tools such as quality control; industrial engineering tools; problem solving
  • Offices, warehouses, container yards, vessel on-board and branch visits

Skills and Competencies Requirements

  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge in Project Management
  • Excellent Communication (Oral and written) skill
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate and manage multiple projects/tasks and concepts.
  • Able to work in simultaneous projects and on tight deadlines
  • Can do cross functional support with Network Optimization (Property Management) and Facilities Management teams respectively
